How It Works
Instructor logs the day
From the mobile app, an instructor creates a recap entry for a child or bulk-creates one for their whole group, filling in activities, meals, nap, mood, bathroom, notes, and photos.
Recap is scoped automatically
Instructors can only create recaps for groups they're assigned to — there's no cross-group visibility built into the workflow.
Parent sees it on their phone
The child's parent opens the mobile app and sees the recap for their own children only, through a dedicated parent view.

What does a daily recap actually include?
Seven sections: activities, meals, nap, mood, bathroom, notes, and photos. Instructors fill in whichever sections apply to that day rather than writing a single free-text summary.
Who can create a daily recap?
Instructors, for the groups they're assigned to. They can create a recap for one child or bulk-create entries for their whole group at once.
Which parents can see a given recap?
Only the parents of that specific child. The mobile app's parent view is scoped to a family's own children — parents don't see recaps for other children.
Can school admins manage daily recaps from the admin portal?
Admins can see recap entries embedded within a group's view in the admin portal, but there is currently no dedicated Daily Recap page in the admin navigation. Day-to-day recap creation happens on mobile, by instructors.
Can parents control who sees the photos in a recap?
Not yet. There is no granular photo-consent management on mobile today — photos attached to a recap are delivered to that child's own parent along with the rest of the entry, the same as the other recap sections.
Is Daily Recap available on mobile for both instructors and parents?
Yes. Instructors create recap entries from their mobile app, and parents view them through a dedicated parent screen — both are live, working features, not a planned roadmap item.
