A center configures one framework — Programme Maternelle, EYFS, EYLF, NAEYC's Developmentally Appropriate Practice, the Islamic Early Childhood Framework, the Saudi Raudah curriculum, or the UAE's ECQA Creative Curriculum — and every milestone checklist, progress report, and domain label follows it.
A Milestone and an Observation Are Two Different Records
Reaching a checklist item — 'walks independently', 'counts to 10' — is recorded as a milestone with a date. Something an educator notices that isn't on the checklist goes in as a separate observation, with an optional photo. They don't get merged into one feed.
Arabic-RTL, Hijri-Dated Reports Are Native Output, Not a Translated Afterthought
Generate a progress report in Arabic and it renders right-to-left with Umm al-Qura Hijri dates and the Arabic formal name format. When an Islamic curriculum framework is active, the Islamic & Spiritual Development domain is included automatically.
Only the Primary Guardian Is Notified by Default
Every guardian can view a child's milestone progress, but only the primary guardian (Wali al-Amr) gets notified when one is achieved, unless a secondary guardian opts in — and only the primary guardian can download or share the progress report externally.

An educator marks a milestone reached from the child's age-appropriate checklist, with a date and optional notes — the checklist itself is auto-selected from six age groups (Infant through Kindergarten) based on the child's birthdate.
Log a Developmental Observation
A free-text note, with an optional photo, for something an educator notices that isn't itself a checklist item — kept as a distinct record from a milestone achievement, not folded into the same entry.
Room-Level Progress Summary
Per-domain achieved-count and percentage across every child currently enrolled in a room, plus recent achievements — with gender-disaggregated stats available to org admins when gender segregation is enabled.
Generate a Framework-Aligned Progress Report
Structured report content — achieved milestones by domain with percentages, plus the observations timeline — generated straight from recorded data, the same content the exported PDF (Arabic-RTL, Hijri dates when relevant) is built on.
Manage Checklists by Age Group and Framework
Milestone checklists are maintained per age group and tied to whichever curriculum framework the center has selected — change the framework and the checklists, labels, and reports follow it.
Share, Notify, or Correct an Achievement
Explicitly (re)share an achievement to the activity feed and notify the parent — for when auto-share was off when it was first recorded — or have an org admin revert a milestone marked in error; it's soft-deleted so it can be re-recorded correctly.

A center admin selects the one curriculum framework it follows — from Programme Maternelle to the Saudi Raudah — as a module setting. Every checklist and report aligns to it from that point on.
Educators record milestones and observations
As a child reaches a milestone, an educator marks it against the checklist auto-selected for that child's age. Anything else worth noting goes in as a separate observation, with an optional photo.
Guardians see progress in the app
All guardians can view a child's milestones and observations in the mobile app. The primary guardian is notified by default when one is achieved; secondary guardians can opt in.
A progress report can be generated any time
Structured by domain, with percentages and the observations timeline — and rendered Arabic-RTL with Hijri dates when that's how the family and center work. Only the primary guardian can download or share it externally.

Yes. Parents see their child's milestone achievements on a dedicated 'Child Milestones' screen, plus a separate screen for developmental observations. The primary guardian is notified by default when a milestone is achieved; secondary guardians can opt in, and only the primary guardian can download or share a progress report externally.
What's the difference between a milestone and an observation?
A milestone is a checklist item from the age-appropriate framework — 'holds a crayon with a tripod grip', for instance — recorded with an achievement date. An observation is a free-text note, with an optional photo, for something an educator notices that isn't itself on the checklist. They're kept as separate record types.
Is Milestones available for schools or sports clubs?
No. Milestones is scoped to daycare organizations tracking developmental progress for children ages 0-6 — it isn't part of the Schools or Sports Clubs feature set.
Does the progress report support Arabic and Hijri dates?
Yes. Selecting Arabic renders the report right-to-left with Umm al-Qura Hijri dates and the Arabic formal name format. When an Islamic curriculum framework is active, the Islamic & Spiritual Development domain — covering things like recognizing the Basmala or reciting short surahs — is included automatically.
Can a milestone be corrected after it's recorded?
Yes. An org admin can revert (un-achieve) a milestone that was marked by mistake. It's soft-deleted rather than erased, so it can be re-recorded correctly later.
